IMHO THE PINNACL OF CRK DESIGN.. Yep you guesed it the Umnumzan in its Orignal Form..

This is one of those threads where one seems to agree with every one. The early Umnumzaans are the ones to go for and I have used mine as an EDC for a few years now. The Mnandi is a superb knife and the old style clip and pivot is also very much my choice regardless of inlay material. The one piece knives are also stand out knives in their own right but the skinner is again the one, because they all have a "Scout" inside them and that is the one piece knife to have out of them of them all, IMO. :)

my heart is with the Umn's as well, simply because it fits three things. Function, form and most importantly MY HAND.
I have 11 CRK knives, 4 are fixed blades. A CRK has been in my pocket everyday for at least 15 years. The Umn's, being the largest folder, I think CRK makes, gets 40% of my vote. The fact that the grooved scale pattern greatly reduces slipping. The added bulk, girth and wt, just simply fit my big 'ol fat hand, wear size 18 ring. The older I get and the less flexible I become, makes the new 25 a knife, while owning, I can not use. Plus I do not care for the more "flashy" builds. I can certainly see the beauty and the art , but I lean toward function. thanks for letting me look at some wonderful examples. LEMMUHJ, they all are the best i've seem.
