Imitation (of the Buck 110) is Flattery!

I have a Kershaw Black Gulch and it is a great knife. I also have a Puma Major which is a little smaller than the 110. Of course I have the 110 and a couple Schrade LB7s, two 7OTs and a 6OT. The 110 is a little smaller than the Schrade patterns. The Puma is probably 1/2 inch shorter than the the 110 & the Kershaw is shorter still. For hunting I think I prefer the size of the 110. For EDC the Puma & Kershaw are lighter don't have the tendency to want to drag my pants down to my knees. :o
All are great user knives. It is such a functional pattern that it is probably hard to make a bad one (unless of course you are in Pakistan or China). :grumpy:
I have mostly Schrades in my collection because I like the carbon steel (on the patterns I can get carbon in). I great carbon steel knife is the Schrade 225H, which has 2 blades.
I wish Buck would make a 110 in carbon steel at about the same price as the regular 110. That would make me a happy camper! :D

My dad has a folding, locking knife that looks just like a Buck 110. It says Kutmaster and Stainless Steel on the blade. Does anyone know anything about that knife?

http://www.kutmaster.com/ :D

Take a look...I didn't see anything that looked like a 110 to me, but it may have been discontinued...

Thanks for the link. Yep, none of those knives look like a 110. My dad has had this knife for probaby 15-20 years, and it was a gift from his employer with the name of the company on the blade.

Hey, cosine ... you're not a "Charles O. Smith" by any chance, are you? If so, I'll bet your dad was one of my professors when I was in college.

Sorry rhino, I'm not. I'm just a kid whose dad is an electrical engineer in Milwaukee and as far as I know, has never been a college professor.
