Imperial camp knife blade retention issue

So i have this old Imperial camp knife and it has two blades and when the smallest blade is closed the main blade has weak snap and have really horrible retention but when i have the small blade open the main blade has better snap and holds its self in.





I hope the pictures will help explain.
 
When i hold the blades facing down the ground the main blades falls out a little but not the whole way open. What i wanted to know was if there was any way to fix this.
