I'm not an Imperial expert. All I know about them is in the photos I posted above. Once you get an image of the knife to show up, then I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be able to help you out. Can you give us any more info about it?

How man blades? What handle material? etc.

I have an Imperial Ireland senior stockman with just the one tang stamp shown below.
Any idea of the mfg. dates for this one, or any Imperial Ireland for that matter?

I remember doing a long post about Jowika Jeff, hopefully here somewhere. Imperial took them over in the late 70's, as they did Richards in Sheffield

Edit - Actually it was about Irish cutlery production in general! But here's a bit about Jowika from it:

Jowika - full name Jowika Stahwlarenfabrik Eugen Weber & Altenbach KG was a German company, which traced its history back to 1928, when they were called Kleinwafers. The company specialised in inexpensive pocket cutlery aimed at the low-end of the market, and like other companies, such as Richards of Sheffield, used Lohr and Stiehl's patented shell-handled designs. Jowika opened a factory in Listowel, County Kerry, in 1960. This was subsequently acquired by Imperial Schrade in 1978.

Some more info here: https://listowelconnection.blogspot.com/2015/02/jowika-and-some-pictures-taken-from-kite.html

So your knife was made between 1978 and 1981 or 1982

Sorry for jumping in your thread Ben Beach.

Ironically I was going to post about this recent acquisition. The seller said it was circa 1930-36, which matches the above charts. However it has something else stamped that is hidden under the bolster that might be another "IMPERIAL". So it is:
IMPERIAL
PROVIDENCE, RI
IMPERIAL
??
Thoughts?

Genuine and unusual looking bone.
The pin is hand done surely ?
The bolsters are nice n shiny compared to the blade.
Interesting Vaporstang Vaporstang .

Ben - get the photos .no flash. natural light.
Or scans. Let's have a look at this buried treasure.

I have a knife that mother of pearl trick knife I can find one. It looks exactly like it’s imperial but it doesn’t have imperial stamped on mine. It just has a bunch of serial numbers. How can I identify that?

It just has a PAT number ?
That's definitely an Imperial, but I don't know the significance.

Usually a PAT number on something points to it being earlier in production, but when a company uses a PAT number on their product and no branding I would think it's something else.
