" if anyone still gives a hoot " Yes, LT, many of us still do. And we greatly appreciate all the digging and frustration you are putting yourself thru to give us the straight and skinny of it all. We are all at a loss as to what we can do, individually or as a group to change things, but it does help us somewhat to be kept aware of what is happening. You are doing a great job of that and I for one, am thankful.

That is a grim picture LT. It sounds as though you have been right all along, about the "Auction".........Too bad for history, and the folks who really care about preserving it. :(

In my humble opinion, the folks running Schrade didn't care about the company while it was open, and they sure as heck are not going to care about it as it is sold off piece-meal!

oohh. The viewing is going on presently, and there is about 1/100th the ammount of people we were expecting. it's insane. There is noone here.

Update ,scuttle butt is the bank took the bid the judge didn't . ( DONE DEAL, ie still gaming ). the 23rd is supposed to be the announcment day. LT
 
LT, is it the Tennessee group? If so, man, I hate it when P------, the carnival barker, gets in on everything. He seems to manipulate the pricing, and it seems QUITE questionable about the "older" knives... :grumpy: ...it sets collecting back on it's collective rear. I am pretty sure he is still tied in with SMKW, and would get a "Peach" of a deal. :rolleyes: If it was someone else......do you know who?

My impression is that smokey is a front for the same old group, I have no proof so it is just my opinion. Although you do not need a crystal ball to figure it out. I can pretty much figure who will get what. ( They have done this when other companies closed ) Might even be a couple of northern names in the combine, who knows. This is being done this way to put a lock on the deal then they will cut it up like dead meat. Can't say I blame them. I guess time will tell perhapes I am completely wrong perhapes Smokey will put them all on display. Perhapes the tooth fairy will leave a quarter of a million dollars under my pillow tonight for the cap on my front tooth that I broke this weekend. LT.
