Important announcement regarding our D2 line....

Effective immediately we will be discontinuing our D2 line of knives. We will fill all backorders that we currently have but will not be accepting additional orders.

We will be coming out with some similar models to the current D2 line in SR101 and we may have some additional D2 blades available through the company store in the future.

The good news is that this move will allow us to offer more designs many of which have never been seen publicly.

That is both good and bad news. I like the idea of new blades, but then again, I wont be able to get one of those cool hawkbills. Unless you made them in SR-101.... :D
 
Did you already torch through Jerry's stash? Or did you find out it was 90% CBL cans that fused together from the sheer weight of the recycling pile? :footinmou :D
 
Darn, I had just talked myself in wanting a safari skinner. Guess I will be waiting to check out the new models.
 
Wha? But...but...their D2 was excellent! we've all seen those D2 torture pics, i want MORE of that D2, not less. i mean SR-101 is great and all but their D2 was the toughest D2 i've ever seen... :mad:

Seriously now, don't toy with me like this! I haven't had the chance yet to acquire any SRKW D2. It seems everyone who has a Bog Dog or Safari Skinner doesn't want to sell them (or when they do, I'm dead broke :rolleyes: ).

Skinner in SR101 sounds good to me.
Well, infact anything with the Swamp-Rat name on it sounds good to me. :D
 
Loss of the D2? Say it ain't so!

I gotta admit...hints at new cool stuff...that sounds good...but no more bog dog!?! None of the other 3 projected d2 models...

I"m with Dr Thor, could you at least make a few of those cool hawbills for the company store? And maybe (while were beggin) a few more bog dogs for the faithful?
 
i own a Howling Rat.....if the SHTF someday, that and my spyderco Manix will be my bug out knives along with my swisstool spirit.

having said that, if you really really need a D2 knife, a guy by the name of Dozier is known to make some pretty good knives in D2!! :D

Sweet! I hate D2, but love the SR101! I thought you guys had forgottten about ol'SR101
 
No more safari skinner? You're KIDDING??!!! RIGHT???? That was going to be my next purchase!!!! Say it ain't so!!!!

Actually to be entirely correct there is no more Safari Skinner in D2, at least full productions of them. We may offer the same design in SR101 and we may also do some more unique D2 Safari Skinners, but in limited quantities.
