Impressed with Byrd

I too like the idea of g-10 byrds. They will make fanastic beater knives that you can afford to put anywhere you don't already have a back up knife. It is this kind of innovation and a huge array of price points that continues to make Spyderco my favorite production company.

I think new graham has them in stock; the G10 ones I mean.

Byrds are 'prettier' than regular spydercos, so they're probably a great way to get people into knives.

My son has a Meadowlark aswell, fist knife that bit him hehe.
His fault, cutting towards his body and not his buddie's.

Anyhow, great knife for the buck, heavy, robust, good edge retention.

However, his had alot of machine gunk in the lockback part too, it took a fair bit of cleaning to get it all out, now it is fine, locks up tight, prior was chancey if it was going to lock or not.

Great knife for the price, little heavy for some.

Here's the G-10 Byrd that I received a few weeks ago. It sure outperforms other knives in the $20 price range.

Just received the Raven... It is sweet! Very solid lock and no blade movement (as of yet). Highly recommend for the money. Really like the 3.5 inches for carry.
