So I have always had a Buck knife here and there but my on duty and off duty carry for the past 12 years or so has always been Benchmade and Spyderco. I was buying a Spyderco here in the exchange when a nice member offered to include a brand new vantage select for like 10 or 15 bucks, sure what the heck. I have a partner I work with on the medic unit with that likes Bucks and needed a new of duty knife badly. When it came I checked it out briefly thought "pretty cool" then gave it to my friend. Every day at the station I would ask to check it out until I thought "for 25 bucks I will try one". I am getting pretty fond of the new vantage, I carry it quite a bit. Is it perfect? No, the blade is slightly off center, the handles are plastic...................but the thing is 25 dollars. I would imagine that in the 20-25 dollar range this knife is hard to beat. A quick clean up, shot of ballistol and flipping it about 50 times one day broke it in nicely. I love how thin it is and the deep pocket clip is growing on me. I am fairly sure I will be adding an Avid and Pro to my line up. It is nice to have a knife like this that is affordable and nice quality.

I have one in my pocket right now. I love it. It's also a little less threatening than having a 110 on the belt. (spending a few days at the hospital) :)

Nice! That is a good point, it is a little different than flicking out an Endura as well.

I've been wanting a Pro too. I had a Select at one point, and I agree that it is an amazing value. US made, and we know the blade has an outstanding heat treatment. Way to go Buck.

I like my Buck Select also. Nothing fancy, doesn't hit you hard in the pocket, looks good, feels good, and cuts.

Just got my Vantage Force Select a week ago, and for a $40 knife it's not bad. Between the deep carry pocket clip and the GRN handles it seems like it will be a bit more friendly to my pockets than some of my other knives. Funny thing is that I had a small vantage (340) that I purchased several years ago that was just too small. Then I tried the full size version and fits me much better. Best of luck with your vantage.

I have the Vantage select with paperstone scales. I would have preferred dymondwood, but as is, it's pretty nice. I love flipping it, too.

The Vantage Avid is definitely my favorite edc. Mine splits time with the Spitfire but the Vantage gets the most use. Can't wait to get one with the new rosewood scales.

I got my 345 off the bay just to check one out. And it has never not been in my pocket since. Last week I "won" a 340 and will now be able to check out the little one.

Picture of my 345 without the tie wrap that is on it now

My wife and kids got me a 346 for Christmas, first knife she has bought me in all these years. Great knife for the price. It was a little stiff at first but it broke in well.

Check out the edge I just finished on mine. I may shave with this bad boy tomorrow. It pops hairs ALMOST as good as my straight razor. I love this knife

We need to have official Buck Club (zip tie) colors. I vote for black on these paperstones and carbons.
