Towards the end of March I bought a Reate JACK 2.0 from BF member
Mcshank
... it arrived fast and securely shipped, but I noticed a bit of detent slop. I PM'd Mcshank and he offered to take it back and pay return shipping immediately, no questions asked.
I replied that I didn't want a return, I'd rather make the knife work as it should without me monkey-ing with it. It is a integral frame and I know they can be a bear to work in.
Long story short...Mcshank basically handled all the leg work on getting the blade within spec for me and either entirely paid for / or offered to pay the entire costs to make the deal right.
From there, Reate has also been straight up aces diagnosing and making the knife perfect. It's taken a while but this went down during the height of the supply chain crisis.
Now I'm the proud owner of a proper Reate JACK 2.0, but it took some work. But it was worth the effort because I've discovered ANOTHER outstanding BF bruddah I can trust to be honest and great.
In addition, anytime another Reate model catches my magpie eye, I will snatch it up knowing that if I ever need W&R work, it will get fixed RIGHT.
Thanks guys, now a few pics for anyone to enjoy the fine fit & finish on this functional pocket art:
