Has any one taken the "Impulse" apart?? Just wondering. I'm considering buying a silver one and black one, and getting goofy with them. Maybe swap blades, or one handle side. Just a bad idea I have.

To disassemble the Impulse you must master the art of rubber/Kraton handle insert removal and replacement. This allows access to the dreaded assembly screws.

If you can do that, tell me how so I too can play with my Impulse properly.

Since each Impulse is assembled by hand of course it can be taken apart. Note however we strongly suggest against doing so and remember dissassembling the Impulse will void your warranty. Keep in mind that each liner is hand fitted to the blade and tested for a precise fit. If your plan is to swap blades in different handles there is no guarranty the liner's will fit. This is one of the main reasons the warranty becomes void if you take your knife apart.

Put yourself in our position. We hand fit and test each knife before it leaves our door. If the consumer then takes their knife apart, tinkers with the parts, rebends the liner more to thier liking and then finds out the liner no long fits or the blade does not lock, then whose fault is it, clearly not ours. As the old saying goes, If it's not broke don't fix it!

!

If the knife works fine, don't mess with it. If there is a problem with it, send it back to us and we'll take care of it. If however you disassenble our product and tinker with it for the sake of tinkering, then we can not be responsible if a problem occurs.

Thank you for your inquiry and I trust you can appreciate our position.

I thought it would void the warranty, but for the price I might try switching the handles around.

Don't worry it won't be for awhile.

Thanks for the replys. Instead of Kraton, might try to inlay something else. No telling.
