With all due respect, in my perfect world I'd need a knife for absolutely everything I did. Turning on the television, slice. Opening the door, feeding the dog, slice. Urination, well wait a minute. Mr. Onion, I suppose I'd have to agree with someone earlier in that an ideal folding knife would have the strongest possible lock. I'm not sure what the deal is with using the McHenry and Williams lock on your knives, but something comparable that hardly wears would be great. If going with a fixed blade, I'd say something very along the lines of your torsion bar folders in a fixed blade form would be well received. Perhaps full tang with an option of handle materials and the option of either a kydex or leather sheath would be nice. To my thinking, they would be a slightly larger version of those fixed blade hunters that Benchmark used to offer; I think they were called the featherweights.
