In case of injury...act fast, before it really hurts!

Misathropist,

Sorry about the injury. I hate being layed-up, but it sounds like you have the kind of attitude that will help you get through it. If there is anything we can do; books, knife pass-around, etc. give a shout.... Take care.

You don't have to tell me twice...except in this case, which you apparently do. How do I send you a pm? I am used to clicking on someone's handle and the option coming up on a drop-down box but I don't see the option there for me, and I don't think I can email you either!

Hey, how bad can it be? I've been away from work five straight days - that's about sixty hours of physical labour skipped - I might be sore but I have so much energy and no demands on my time! I am practically giddy with all the time I have to myself to think and read!

LOL. There's an upside somewhere in every tragedy. The ones who heal fastest find that upside immediately and run with it. Another sign of your ability to handle a SHTF situation.

Holy crap man, did you post this on CGN? Get well soon! And it still wasn't me Sunday morning in the Pajero :P.

Ok guys... sorry to be the only gear nut in the boat but... I have read through the whole thread and now i have to ask... what kind of boots where you wearing so as to be so worried about them? They have to be something neat to be $500!!! :D :D

Misantrhopist, I hope that heals fast... keep us informed.
Mikel

LOL! Hand-built Vibergs (workboot.com) abolutely the last word in workboots! Made by a few craftsmen in the same shop near where I grew up for the last 75 years...not cheap but if you head out to the logging camps and mines out in the bush in BC, that's pretty much all they wear. Absolutely the best boot, bar none, no exceptions, and yes...I've tried them all!

Not cutting those babies off me!
