Having used the Ka-Bar micarta scales (but not the Camillus versions), I think I'd prefer the Ka-Bar scales. That is based on the feel of the KaBar micarta shape, versus the flat micarta with rounded corners on several other knives that I own. The 3-D shaping of the Ka-Bar scales feels great in the hand.
Edited to add: Oh, and while I would like to have a BK-10, what I'd really like to have is a Ka-Bar BK-10. Yeah, sure, a Camillus BK-10 would be practically a collector's item, for that very reason, I'd rather not have one. (although that may just be sour grapes) A Ka-Bar BK-10 I could feel like I could use it like it should be used. Not so a Camillus.
