In heaven there is no beer

The best ale I've ever tried is Young's "Old Nick",Theakston's "Old Peculier" is also excellent. On tap the best pint I ever had was Hartley's XXX,which ,sadly,is no longer brewed. In my fridge at home I have an "Old Growler" and a couple of "Skullsplitters" which will have to keep me going until I can get my paws on some more "Old Nick".Cheers,Mark

Uncle thanks for the invite to the convention. I'm definately going to try to attend depending on my work situation at the time. I come to this forum daily and even though I rarely post I feel a kinship to you guys and would like to meet the kuk nuts there. Also if things work out and I can make it to the convention I'll bring a good dose of bitter beer to share.:D

I just wish everybody could make it -- but I don't think Yvsa's backyard could handle that and probably neither could Yvsa (or maybe anybody -- you know, too much of a good thing) -- make it if you can. It's all karma.

My taste in beer runs to the darker shades, but then I will try almost anything once.:D

The Fat Tire I really like!!!!
And much to my surprise when we visited Phoenix back in April and May there was still one left in our daughter's fridge!!!!:D
I saved it for the night we had BBQ'd Ribs.:D
And this is a standard watering hole for lots of people almost every weekend.
But I guess I am the only adventurer there in the world of
beers.
Their taste runs to the Budwieser family of beers wih Bud Ice and Bud light being the most popular.
And Dave also introduced me to Guiness, but a little of that goes a long ways with me, sorta like the brand Uncle Bill drinks.:)
The only place you can get beer over
3.2 % here in Oklahoma is the liquor stores and I don't usually make a trip to my favorite liquor store unless I'm out of single malt scotch.:)

Yvsa--Fat Tire is made right here in Ft. Collins, Colo., by New Belgium Brewery. I plan on bringing some to Catoosa, along with other ales they make there I also like a lot.

Whew, it's hot!
I must disagree with QM3 because while Guiness is surely the nectar of the Gods, I don't think they share and so we must drink it here.
In the cold months I like Guinness or Murphy's and when it is hot I switch to an India Pale Ale, but Heineken Dark or Warsteiner are welcome. Like Uncle Bill, I love them all, but micro and home brews are tops for me.

My definition of lawnmower beer is the ones you are consuming while supervising the wife or nephew or niece or whoever in mowing the lawn.....Therefore, I avoid combining alcohol with the use of any cutting tool!;) :D

glad to hear it. And you're to be applauded for your willingness to step back and allow trusted others to share in rewarding "growth experiences" such as lawn care.
