Sounds like your ak bowie got a work out. I hope that isn't considered abuse. (I have used my baby chitlangi to cut up many apples...works well on steak too.)

#1 auntie yangdu of HI is awesome!!! i dont think anyone can top her kindness and customer service...
#2 the khuks are beautiful!!! each hand made with a heart and soul and have a life time warranty... no two blades are really the same
#3 from my understanding a good portion of profits go to helping out people from one of the poorest countries in the world
#4 the community here at BF!!! you guys are great... i have never met such a crowd

Well I have done this in the past, but I hope I don't need to do it again. After all, I love them to much to let them go.
I have also sold a few swords and such related stuff to fund my kukri habit.

thanx. it's WOW. USPS delivered it about 4 hours ago. consider i ordered on monday, paid instantly, it was in my hands in less than 48 hours. FANTASTIC.
the sword of shiva as such, appears to be forged in, not cut/ground... it's like full length forged mini fullers... two of them.
i have it laying out next to the 20 inch AK i snagged earlier... both under $100 deals
they have similar shapes, but the bend, cho, and alignments are different, making them far different. the AK is very THICK, the jange is slim at the spine. big different in weight between the two (41 vs 29 ounces). mmm. i'll have to do a photo comparison shortly. i'm fascinated by the ratios and sizes of the blades. i would LIKE to have CAD templates of the exact blades/handles, similar to what dan koster did, but for my particular collection, and be able to compare silhouettes, balance points, etc.fantastic blade, very impressed with first blush.

it cuts 12 inch logs in half in one swipe. like butter! and it's still shaving sharp after chopping up cinder blocks and bricks. i even used it to dig a few trenches, and the dirt flees in terror. not a chip or scratch on the blade. it must be 99 rockwell
