The more I look at it, that 28 inch 35 ounce Manjushree Sword by Sher has a lot of the features/looks of a Pompeii Gladius. I have wanted a battel ready Gladius from the age of 10yrs. I wonder if that's what it was patterned after?? I am still holding out for my AK Bowie or full tang Crow though. All these are great values!!!!!!! Farewell Pala, and thank you for your comitment to quality.

Bhutan Sword called me.

awesome snag!!! congrats on that one

very nice deals for today...
my picks would be the attitude, manju, kobra & cak :) somebody jump on these.

congrats to all who manage to grab one or more of these steals :D

So, what are you buying today, Jai?

Great selection today.

i am eyeballing the CAK... i dont own one yet :( atleast not from HI, i have a gurkha house model.
i'll just keep telling myself my garud and hanuman also have pinned handles... thats sorta like a CAK right?!?!?!

mmm, i was right there from the get go, but i got my jange jange, and decided to be generous and let the other sharks have a chance :)

my picks today would have been PROBABLY: chit, WWII, CAK

Fantastic prices on all! Something like $65 off the manjushri. One of those "take them all" days, as there is something for everyone.

18 inch 30 ounce chiruwa Ang Khola by Bura. Horn handle. $95.00

Hopefully my first HI. Fingers crossed.

If it wasn't so close to the holidays..those manjushree and bhutan swords would be mine. Maybe once I have more spending money for sharp n' pointy things I can pick them up.

Congrats to who picked up any of these awsome deals.

Actually 18" CAKs are uncommon. Chiruwa handles normally are only in the 16.5" while the 18" AKs normally just have the regular handle.

I do love my 18" CAK...the thing has been though so many logs I wont even try to count. Still though my little 16" BGRS is my preferred kukri for general purpose. For some reason my BGRS just feels like it has more soul to it then the AK...perhaps I have just grown more attached to it.

Jai, you have mail.

bura makes fine CAKs, horn handle is nice, good weight. i find CAKs are more balanced for my needs - faster, more neutral, less tiring. a little wrist flick, and they chop well. it should be a nice one. if you hate it, well, i got $20 to pay for shipping :) :) :)

i find that the regular AKs are so tip heavy (esp in 20 inch) that it requires a bit more thought, and strength - something to work up to.

i think the 18 inch CAKs are more common than the 20 inch ones :) i've been eyeing the 18 inchers for a bit, but i have so much overlap right now in sizes and weight, that it's more of a deal time than a real need.

for now, one of the best of all worlds is my 18 inch GRS, solid and tested. yar. only gets better the more i sharpen/polish it. the foxy the 3rd i recently got is only 23 ounces ONLY but wow, fast, light, think, chopping. it's definitely a keeper/user without though - nice hard etched edge that.
