After a long time of thinking and debate I decided to buy a plain edge Manix. I have had it for about two weeks now and am in love with its performance and ergonomics. I have big hands and this knife fits me just right. I have never had a knife that I was so thriled with.

I have used the blade to cut cardboard open packages and prepare food. I have yet to resharpen it and the edge still shaves. I cannot wait untill my camping trip next month to really give this blade a workout, as I intend to use it exclusiveley.

If I were to complain about anything it would be the placement of the pocket clips, While they make for a nice draw, they do leave alot of the knife showing. In fall or winter clothing this isnt an issue but it may be a concern, next spring and summer in the sheeple world.

Since I really bought this knife as a woods companion, concealability shouldn't be a factor, but since I got it I find myself unwilling to go back to carrying event my Endura 4 for an EDC.

Anyway if anyone is thinking about getting a manix I would Highly recomend it. this is one well put together knife.

Heya EMSRescueGuy,

I've had a manix in CE for some months now, and it's my everyday companion. It's definitely a do-everything knife. As for the pocket clip, it's been fine for me, and I live in LA. Most people never actually notice that I'm carrying it, at least not that I can tell.

Excellent knife indeed. One of the best production folders I've owned. IF you don't like how much of the knife sticks out, you can try IWB carry. Sometimes I'll clip it to my waistband just behind my right hip and rarely is it even noticable this way.

Consider STR's low rider clips if you're concerned with it showing.

The Manix & Mini Manix are one of my all time favorite folder designs in all price ranges.

I have had mine for a few years now. IMO, one of THE best designs to come out in the last decade or so.
