In love with Titanium?

You all DO know that Titanium doesn't take and edge worth a **** right? It has no carbon in it and cannot be impregnated with carbon to make it harder, hence no edge retention. It's sole redeeming feature is strength with light weight. Sure that is good for aircraft but it is SOFT only slightly harder than Aluminum...you can scratch Aluminum with a FINGERNAIL!
 
I don't travel without my titanium flask, which contains excellent malt whisky and does not affect the taste.

Recently obtained a Ti Zippo with a ZPlus butane insert! What a pocket torch! Thanks to grnamin for the idea.

How about Ti mini caribiners from www.countycomm.com ? Don' t know if they have anymore.

he's a member of this site and a knifemaker if i can remember correctly.

i got a set of titanium sticks from him maybe 2 years ago or a little less. and they are fantastic. they were 40.00. i use them every day unless it's a burrito or pizza or something.

If someone is in the market for titanium flatware, and anodization is desired, check out TitaniumArt.com. I'm probably going to pick one up soon, and I didn't desire the camping style of the SnowPeak. These look to be regular patterns available in standard color or different gradations. I'll edit my post if I ever get around to buying from these folks.
