I feel I should let you newbies know that Art S. was/is a friend of Bill's and the forum's, and did warranty work on the few HI khuks that needed it. He is a fine knifemaker and wonderful good guy. I'd reccomend his work to you as well as any repair task you may need for anything that cuts.

I am late on parade again. Some times my wife makes me go to bed.
Anyway, in joyous remembrance Yangdu. It was Bill Martino's passing that brought me to Blade Forums, specifically, just to post a message in the 'Memoriam' thread and then leave. I am still here though, it is a good place. I have learned a lot and taken much enjoyment. Thanks to all.

So, it's been a year already, but not even a blink of the cosmic eye. I'm glad I had a chance to say goodby, before the door closed.
As an aside, I'm also glad that ArtS picked up after my health went south and I couldn't do it any more.
Question, does anyone know what ever happened to that blade that I put two or three inches of new point on after UB trashed it?

Though Uncle Bill and I never met, I did enjoy several phone conversations with him.
He and Rusty were, and still are, inspirations for me.
They will be remembered!

It's been a long time since I posted anything here.
Bill was one of the most unique and one of the best men I think I have ever known, even though we never met in person. Rusty was one of the good'uns, too.
They won't be forgotten as long as my tired ole brain still works.

I don't know when we will hear from Bill and Rusty again, we really do miss them both; but, when the time comes I am sure that we will all know where to find them; just head on over and join the gang at the local chapter of the HI Cantina.
