In need of a Tough EDC

My ZT 0560 is just as solid(if not more) as my 0301 was.
It too is a tank.
The ZT 055X - was more solid than my 0301 was.

I agree. The 0300's seem more tank-like because they have the Strider look and mostly because they're wider and just more "tank" looking. That doesn't make them stronger, though. The 0560 is built basically the same. Probably the same blade thickness. Same steel liner, same 3D machined Titanium and G10. And if anything, ELMAX is a tougher steel. The 560 is just lighter because it's not a wide and it's more milled out. Plus, the KVT will last a lifetime and the Speedsafe on the 0300 might not. They're both tough as it gets, though. Neither one more or less than the other, IMO.

I could also agree with the Paramilitary 2 and Military if you just need a knife that will last but not necessarily a hard use knife. They're outstanding slicers and they're tactical knives, meaning they are meant to stab and cut like crazy. But if you use them hard, the blade will not last. They have fairly thin blades, especially at the tip since they're full flat ground. You will break that tip instantly if you use it for any hard tasks, such as prying. They're one of my favorite knives and they ARE tough, but they're not hard use in my opinion. They're meant to slice food and rope and penetrate soft material, such as clothing and, of course, flesh. Everything a Serviceman would need it for, aside from any kind of prying or anything at all other than cutting and only the lightest puncturing. Just my opinion. Also, the Millie is bigger, but I think the PM2 is just as robust. They're basically the same aside from the locks, and I personally think the compression lock is just as tough as the Millie's frame lock, if not tougher. I actually think it's probably quite a bit tougher. One of the safest locks there are. The PM2 is outstanding and tough, but not "hard use" for the most part. YMMV.

Hey man! I just got done buying a ZT0560 and i can't wait to get it! A friend over @ the Swamp told me about it and he said it is a GREAT knife and that i would not be disappointed. I own several Spyderco's, Benchmade's, Kershaw's and other good pocket knives but i have heard that the ZT0560 and 0561 are above them all! PM me if you are interested and i will give you the place where i got mine. It is well within your price range too!

Ok I am going to be getting the ZT 0560. However I saw somthing else that looks promising for a future purchase. What do you guys think about Grayman knives?

yeah the 0560 was a great choice. It's a big knife but I go all day and can't even tell it's there.
