In need of a woods walks knife

A quick comment. Keep the language family friendly (a point in our guidelines). Kind of 1950s Mayberry, if anyone remembers that TV show. Expletives like gosh, darn, golly gee whiz. You get my drift.
Andy Griffith's Mayberry was the 1960s. Show ran from 1960-1968. Some of the best television ever produced in the USA.

Another inexpensive knife I'd recommend is a Condor Kephart, but at 9" with half that being blade and half being handle, it might be as little larger than the OP wants. These can be found for the same price as the Ahti Tikka puukko I posted earlier at less than half the OP's budget.

For a bit more $$$, the Grohmann #2 Trout and Bird is very handy knife. You can find them within the OP's budget.

Here's one of the Mora Lapplander series (the smallest of several I own)

I also like this Enzo Elver in D2, which may be easier to get hold of

I sent you an email, I would really like to have your full opinion on your enzo elver 85.

i would recommend Michael morris knives, check out his web site, pretty amazing stuff without breaking the bank

I second this. I have a few of Michael's knives and they are wonderfully built and designed to take a beating!

Can't forget about the little Finn style of knives. Case makes a good one, good sharp edge from the factory and a decent sheath. Stacked leather handle, classic style.
