McMaster-Carr has it in this size in 6' lengths if youre looking for a smaller quantity.

JT, if you are goinng to forge it, you can find a local auto/truck spring shop and buy an unused leaf spring(usually around 40 bucks I think). Some have a sticker on them with the manufacturers name and contact info on them or just ask for the name of their supplier. A quick call will confirm the alloy. I have found both 5160 and 6160 here.....pretty cheap, no shipping, around 4 ft long and lots of sizes. I worked out a deal with a local shop owner, 40 bucks for all the end cuts I can carry by hand in one load. Depending on how much and what sizes he has....thats less than a dollar a pound
