Thanks everybody, I appreciate it all.
Amazing work Ken -- glad to hear things are going well! Sorry I'll be missing you at Blade this year, but I'll be looking forward to future updates for your ongoing projects !
Sorry to hear you won't be at the show! Next year for sure then. I hope you are doing great.
That is pretty bad a$$ dude. Very nice Ken. Hope the back, leg, and all other ailments are in the past.
Preston
Thanks Preston. Yup, body is definitely feeling better these days. Hip replacement was probably a year or two overdue, and I'm glad to have it behind me. I know you'll be at the show so I'll see you then.
Beautiful work Ken! That's quite a shop. I wonder what's hidden in all the little drawers of the bench-top cabinet.
Not for nothing, this guy's shop is a disaster. Everything is twenty years old and only 80% working right. The other day I set the router up (1 of 2 he has) to shape the drawer fronts for the TV stand, and of course went to plug it in and there was no plug on the end of the cord. So that lead to rewiring the router, after digging for a new plug.... there's a lot of that taking place. So, to your point, I imagine there is quite a bit of cool stuff in those drawers, because every one is packed full of sh*t.
Beautiful pieces Ken! You have more sanding and finish work to do there than six months worth of knives. I hope that you will post pictures of the finished products.
I look forward to seeing you on Friday.
Phil
I'm looking forward to seeing you too Phil. I'm really glad you guys are coming again this year. And thankfully there are two assistants in the shop that I get to hand all the sanding off to.
Nice work Ken!!! It's great to see what you are working on these days!!!
-Will
Thanks Will! Are you coming to the show this year? I think you've used up all your get out of jail free cards to not go... so we'll see you there!
Beautiful work Ken! Makes my heart miss doing cabinets and trim. My back and knees not so much, but definitely my heart.
Thanks Brian. I hear you about the pain. I've spent a few days laying on the floor with these things and it definitely wears on you. But they're still a lot of fun to make.
Looking great Ken! It's great to see a post from you, hope your hips are doing well and all.
Yup, getting stronger all the time. I hope you're doing great too!
Man, what a bunch of master work. I'm glad you're really using all your skills my friend. I can't imagine the complexity of the curved parts.
I don't know about everyone else, but I'd like to see more pics of the shop.
Thanks Andy. I'll see about getting some pics of the place. As I mentioned earlier it's a bit of a haphazard mess, probably the most dangerous shop I've ever worked in.
