In Praise of Kershaw

There are pros and cons but really, I think it's time to move on from 8Cr13Mov.

I don't disagree, as long as Kershaw can maintain it's price advantage as a low cost knife maker doing so. Just not sure they can.

Also, BTW, based on the knifeinformer chart, which I've seen before, I should have said that 8CR13Mov is comparable to 440C and AUS-8 (instead of AUS-10) but in either case 8CR13Mov is usually good enough for me. ;)

I don't know why they couldn't. I don't know much about their business but they seem like a big dog in the knife world. They've been making knives in China for a long time now with decent workmanship and quality control. Some of the recent companies getting down there with better steel are sub-brands but what do they have that Kershaw doesn't?
