In Process Storage?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I’ve searched and couldn’t find anything about this. How do you store your knives that are in process?

For blades without a handle that haven’t been hand sanded, I have a magnetic strip on the wall.

But what do you do when you have more than one handle you’re working on? How do you store all your knives that are in the middle of the tung oil curing process... (or whatever finish you are using).

I'm a hobbyist so the most I've ever had going at the same time is three. I just put them blade down in a mason jar or mug. I bet an easy way for multiples is stick the blades between pages of a bunch of heavy books stacked together.

The prolific and the pros probably have some technique or equipment beyond my pay grade.

I have several plastic baskets from the dollar store. Solid bottom. I keep the bolts, liners, scales and blades all together in them. Keeps things from wandering off.
I don't usually oil handles, but I imagine I would tape the blade well and put it on the magnetic rack for drying.

I am using kitchen utensil organizers to keep the knife builds organized. I found some decent ones locally that have rubber coated bottoms (Easy to wash out). When I am doing multiple knives at the same time, I will keep a knife and associated pins and handle material in a compartment to itself. I think each organizer has 5 compartments, so 5 knives can fit per organizer.

Everything goes on the magnet. If I'm worried about the finish it's taped over.
