Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was wondering about the "Wanted to buy" threads. Do you have to be a gold member (or better) to read and post over there?

To read, yes. To post, no. You can't read other people's WTB ads and sell to them without a membership, but you can post a WTB ad and read the replies to your own thread.
