In the future

Sigh.

Nobody seems to give the Fox River much love.

At least take a look. Mine is excellent.

To clear up any confusion, ...the Fox River and the Northstar are based on the same design.

The Fox River was designed as a hunting knife.

The Northstar was a tweaked by Reid (Sharpshooter) to be a Bushcraft version of the same basic design.

Reading the specs, I thought the handle on these would be too small for my large paws, only after trying one did I see the light; I find that works just fine for me.

The Model I really like is the Recurve Fox River (pictured), it’s kind of a cross between the two with a slight recurved cutting edge.

It also features contoured scales, which I really like. :)

I was just about to ask where you got those scales from.

Do you have any experience with the fox river magnum? Just curious how much bigger the handle is, and how much 'nimbleness' it sacrifices.

Spook, I did get to handle Tony’s Magnum Fox River and the scales are a little bit longer.

Overall the knife felt fast and nimble in hand; I liked it a lot.

Mike Stewart has said that when he makes the production version of the Magnum (in A2) it will feature an even longer handle.
