I am finally starting to feel better although I am not over the "crud". I have been sick for two weeks so things are going a lot slower in the shop but I feel better in the shop than sitting in the house doing nothing.

A lot of the knives in this group are "requests" so they won't be up for sale but they are turning out to be a great group of knives.

One knife is a real disappointment though and the reason I almost never work with Obsidian. As I do such a tight fit on the stone Obsidian is a "high risk" stone as it is basically volcanic glass. I must have allowed one knife to heat up too much and I have a crack in the Obsidian. I probably have only used Obsidian 6 or 7 times and this is the second to crack in polishing. So, that is why I almost never use Obsidian as it just is such a risk for failure.....

Mike,

Thanks for posting your new "In the Shop" photos and information. Always enjoy seeing the progress of your artwork. You have certainly created another great group of beautiful gems again. Wishing you a fast and complete recovery from your illness.

Dennis

Awesome work, you really pick out some nice rough to work with. Is that last one Pietersite with Damascus? Incredible!
