This was my first ProCut blade when it became available. After I completed it, I sent it to two knife makers in my area to test and try out. My only instruction to them was use it, abuse, it, and you can sharpen, but if you don’t know what you’re doing send it back and let me sharpen it. Well, one of the guys decided that he was going to clean up some scratches he had put in the ricasso area and that did not go well. Now, after I reworked the blade, it looks much better.
This is a very nice EDC with a steel that has become a favorite for me.IMG_9210.jpegIMG_9211.jpegIMG_9212.jpegIMG_9213.jpeg

Knives aren’t always pretty, there is an ugly duckling stage (at least mine go through that stage).

Always pretty knives scare me—just like a neat, clean and orderly shop scares me!
(Did you know that a messy environment is the sign of a creative person?! Da Vinci’s shop must have been something to behold).

Got my knife today Dan. It is fantastic! Even better in hand than picture 📸 TigerMaple is gorgeous. Blade is perfect as well as the sheath. Thank you Dan!

You’re very welcome, thank you for the kind words!

Someone asked if there was a larger version. Yes, there is.

I like the look of the larger version. I think if you make index finger cut out a little more curved under the micarta bolster it would really make the knife fit in the hand and be a little ergonomic and comfortable. Just a slight curve.

I’ll tell ya what’s impressed me and I hope this is the correct thread but the budget knives you are pumping out for your 100 dollar collection have all been really nice looking. I hope your cost analysis comes out that this is viable for you because it’s awesome to watch. I don’t own any of your work but i plan on it. I’m trying to get at least one knife from all the makers here.

-^ I appreciate that! I hope it is viable also because I enjoy making them.
I can tell you right now that one thing that helps with the smaller pocket pouches is that I have been able to use small pieces of leather that would have wound up as scrap because they weren’t big enough to make a taco sheath or something similar. Unfortunately, that supply is finite and at some point in the near future I’ll have to get into leather that might otherwise have been used for a larger project.

I should have a more definitive answer later this evening or tonight once I get in from the shop.
