Some of you have seen this knife in David Daroms book on Tim Hancock. "The Western Bladesmith". This hunter was made for the 2007 AKI. Amber Stag handle scales and frame construction with fileworked spacers. "Double U" pattern damascus blade with Spanish notch.

David was kind enough to extract this image for me and give it its own background so here it is. I will have this knife in my hands soon, let me know what you think. I am very excited for this one. I may get a multi-angle Coop image soon, in which case I will post it here.

Greats knife. You have fine taste and this is an exemplary example. The stag is first class and the steel...........Well, it is Tim Hancock steel. Not much more to say, his work speaks for itself. I know you are surely pleased with this one.

Congrats Jon, (wait a minute, didn't I just say something like that?) hehe.
That Hancock guy makes some of the best lookin knives out there, and wow what great finishing work he does too. Great steel:thumbup:
 
Superb acquisition. One would be hard pressed to find a finer hunter.

And please do have that one photographed. We want to see that furniture in all its glorious detail!
 
IMO, those are some of the best values and representations of what Tim does, and does so well.

I dropped on both the 2005 and 2007 hunters and would have kept them.

It's one of the finer hunters around in my opinion.

I don't know if it is the best hunter I have ever ever seen...but it is DAMN CLOSE!

Congrats Jon! That damascus is OUTstanding. Tim Hancock makes exceptional knives and that is one of them.
