I have a Paragon Harold Corby Auto that needs a new pivot assembly. The blade was ground by Harold himself and is #606, out of 1000. I bought it in 1998 and disassembled it about a year later to use its’ pivot for another knife.

The blade is 4” w/ a satin finish, and no serrations. The lettering printed on the blade is COBRA, Paragon Custom Series, 606, Harold Corby. There are two small nicks in the blade that will come out easy with sharpening (I’m talking minor). I don’t think I ever sharpened this knife, & upon close inspection, it does not look like it.
The handle has three pieces. Two black aluminum halves w/rubber inserts and a gray back spine. One half has the pocket clip mounted on it, and the other has the safety slider/toggle. The handle has some ware, very small gouges (not as bad as it might sound). The pocket clip has some of its’ coloring worn off but otherwise is just fine. The back spine has a small gouge in it (not bad). Over all I’d say good-fair condition, but defiantly not new.
The Other parts, (release button and & spring, stop pin, body screws) are all in good shape.

The missing parts are the Pivot barrel, Pivot pin, Pin screw, & Coil spring.

Anyway I thought I’d see if anyone might be interested in this project. I don’t think the parts would be all that hard to get a hold of, with web sites like http://www.knifekits.com/ , it would not be very expensive to finish.

IMO, paragon knives are ok to whatever, but the blade on this knife is just beautiful. I defiantly think it is something collectors would enjoy showing off. Make an offer (trade no $) if you are interested. Thanks -john
