increasing maker participation

Nick, you inspired me! Tanya has been after me to post more here, and after reading some of the recent threads you mentioned, I think we will.

I just do simple stock removal knives, but I enjoy making them that way, for now anyway. I have been making knives full time now for 5 years, and still have a lot to learn. I learn something new every time I step out into my shop, sometimes more from the mistakes than anything else. If I don't learn something everyday, I consider it a ho-hum day! Tanya does most of the computer stuff, so she will post pics etc.(truth be told, I dont even know how to post a pic!)
hopefully you vicious bastids wont be too hard on me, I'm a sensitive sort of guy and get real emotional.:D

HAHAHA!!! Your name/work is not unfamiliar around here Todd, and everyone knows better than that "simple" remark!!! :p :D

Glad to see you open to adding your insight though Todd, it would sure be a nice addition!

Nick I came here about 2 years ago posted a design and got beat up or "critiqued", in spite of a few difference's I came back with "I will show them attitude". Almost everything I build gets posted over here, the feedback is good to great and very honest.

I have some favorite makers that only post over here and like the place.

I do stock removal and have tried my hand at forging, I am working at attending the ABS school this year??? Maybe after this I will be better liked around here:D

Todd is a superb machinist, and I really love his skills wrt complex integral knives. Designs are a personnal thing, and I'm often less taken by them, but it comes and goes.

I like you Spencer!! and promise not to beat you up, because your gonna make Eggs Benedict next week for us at Bryan's.....right? right?????

Tanya

for the post on the other forum. I, like several others, did not know
about this one either.

It maynot be doable... but I think you'd get more "maker" trafic for this forum if it was under the supergroup of Knife Maker Forums rather than general knife discussion. Most makers particularly those who are new here, just go right for the Knife Maker Forums and dont go anywhere else.

Make it a sub category right next to General Knife Maker's Discussion.
