Many of you might remember the incredible Wakizashi that David did for this past Blade

It was stunning and was snapped up by our own Riad.

I wore it around blade and marveled at how good it felt stuffed thru my belt

It also won Best Sword of Blade 2013 :)

It is an awesome piece to say the least

David's Japanese work is like nothing else out there

His blend of new materials mixed with ancient artifacts has become his calling card, and is one of the things that sets his work apart from the rest

Combine this with traditional construction and a masters eye for steel and you end up with a piece of work that is truly timeless

David truly is doing some incredible work

David only does a few pieces like this a year.

They are truly works of performing art

This piece which belongs to a lucky member here is sure to make their X Mas very special

From David

Very nice. My personal preference would've been a deeper sori. I think .21" is just too shallow. I even consider .5" on the shallow side somewhat. Still a great blade all in all

That is a very nice balance between modern materials and traditional construction. I really like that sheath.

I'm surprised those guiding our program haven't moved this one to the Sword s/f.

Good one, Congrats, David, and thanks for showing it Joseph.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Amazing piece, Joe!! I am still amazed at the different ways that David uses the carbon fiber on these blades.

This is stunning.

Love the shapes, textures and colors. The blend of new and old with regards to both materials and styling is truly exceptional.

Thank you very much for sharing!

Thats a another fine sword from David thanks for showing it Joe. congrats to the new owner, man that steel is cool

Hesitate to comment because I know nothing of Japanese weapons, other than what pleases my eye. This one pleases exceedingly. The proportions just seem so right.

Personally I would prefer a wooden sheath over the CF, but other than that this a a fantastic sword!

Kind regards,

Jos
