Industrial sized forging videos

I used to work in a forge shop that did this type of work. We would start with ingots of 35" square and work them down to 11" x 13" bars. Those would then be forged down further on smaller presses or sent to our rolling mills to be turned into rounds. It's pretty neat to watch hot steel move that quickly under pressure.
 
Who wants to make some damascus? :D

Reminds me of those European guys who made the giant billet.

Very cool links.... And I thought the big Maxi presses (2000T) I used to work on were large! Those are a little bit bigger in the videos. Thanks for posting that!

I fiqured us forgers would get a kick out of seeing it. It looks like they are forging a tank gun barrel on the first one.
