Inexpensive flippers

Kershaw OD-1 and CRKT Ripple are a couple of really good flippers I've owned. OTOH, I'm no longer impressed with the CRKT M16. It was a good first generation, but the knives that have come since are much better.

I have the small vantage select, just ordered a large in paperstone. They are well designed knives and should last a long time. You can get the Vantage Force select if you want a more tactical interpretation.

Just bought a inron my803 for 20.00 shipped. I have to say it's very nice blade is centered and flips smooth lock up is about 30% . I have bought much more expensive knives that blade centering was very bad and the frame lock engaged 90% or more. For something cheap and fun you might check them out. Look on youtube.

My favorite un-assisted flippers are the CRKT m16/m21 lines. I'm not sure what you consider inexpensive but the usually can be had for under $50. I got one once for $28.

I found a new CRKT Shenanigan PPS. Heard good things about it so, I bought it. With tax and shipping I paid just under $29 and it should be here in a couple days.

Cool,,,More options,,I have heard of some of them but i will for sure re-review most of them.!!

I had one,,maybe it was a POS,,i sold it after i opened it to see why it was not always smooth,,,turns out the bearings were light on one side,,,I got more in the mail,,man that was a B***h to put back together with the littel balls falling out if you did not do it just right
The CRKT Ripple is one if the smoothest flippers I've ever handled.

I have the Leek, Chive, and Needs Work, they're all great flippers because of the assisted opening. But since you want non assisted flippers, I would recommend the CRKT Ripple. I have the Kershaw Skyline, and in regards to flipping, the Ripple is way better.

The only flipper I have right now is the Skyline. Just a little bit of lube and some minor adjustments on the pivot and the little sumb!tch flies open with no wrist movement and is smooth as snot on silk. And for what, thirty buck? Can't go wrong.

Hmm... interesting. That is not my experience at all. I oiled mine and the pivot loose enough that there is a tiny ammount of bladeplay when open. I can get it to fly open, but I have to try really hard in order to hit the flipper at the right angle for it to fly open.

The ripple on the other hand, even if I try not to flip it open all the way, it flies open effortlessly all the way.
