Inexpensive garage knife?

does one really need a suggestion for a "garage beater knife"?...walmart, big5, any sporting goods store/hardware store; they all have cheap knives that serve as beater knives...

Yeah, I know, but I was hoping for at least a little style, you know...;)

And the utility knife is also a good idea, too.

Sigh...maybe I'll just make a shank out of some scrap and electrical tape...

Moras are always going to great workhorses, but I have recently received 2 Condor buscraft knives (2" & 5") which have now become my "go-to" knives in the garage.

They have thick polished blades, full tang and thick wooden grips that you can custom fit to your hands.

cold steel finn bear would also be a good beater knife, should stand up to about anything, i love mine.

EOD Breacher bar from countycomm and a stanley utility knife. Sharpen the breacher bar and you are set.

This is kind of strange.
The price on different knives in different countries are strange.
In Europe Cold Steel, Benchmade and even fallkniven cost huge amounts of money. No one would clean their weeds with a SRK that they paid almost equivalent to 200 USD to get.
However they wouldnt blink to beat the crap out of a "use once" knife like aplastic Mora for about 5 bucks.
In the US it is the opposite, you need to pay decent money for a Mora knife but not much for a quality knife. Fallknivens for example cost almost half in the US compared to Sweden. It is taxes and stuff.

All knives are cheap in the US vs Europe & the UK.

Don't forget Australia. Go to a local knife store here and you can expect to pay nearly $200 for a delica.

Looks like I'm being given a Mora stainless military model. I'm selling a rifle, and for being willing to drive a bit to meet the guy, he's giving me the knife. :)
