Inferiority

I had a BG but decided it wasn't for me so now I don't even have a TG at all. I feel fine about it, tons of others out there I need to try until I find the one.

I've got 2 infi tglbs, and soon 3 tga2s so I can't relate but I can tell you that you could feel a lot worse if you had no tgs at all.

SR101 is an excellent steel; A2 as well. INFI is pretty special, but just use your knives and be happy.

I used to feel that way about my first piece of SR101 until I moved to a new house and had to cut up a mountain of cardboard boxes and found that it held an edge better than my INFI. Fast forward to a camping trip where I did a bunch of batoning to stock up the firewood pile for the weekend and once again the SR101 came out on top for retaining a truly sharp edge. Anymore I don't care which of the two steels I end up with. Both are tougher than a two dollar steak. One doesn't rust, which is nice. One holds a killer edge a bit longer, which is also nice. Six in one hand. Half dozen in the other.

yeah sr101 definitely holds the edge longer, but infi has the edge "puns intended" slightly on toughness and definitely on rust resistance

it's all used/made by busse so you can't go wrong with either/any model in whatever steel type you or they select...

Sr101 will hold an edge that's for sure but my stripped BGTG will start to rust just lookin at it. My RMD'S on the other hand do just fine. :)
