If you used the Infi where it is at it's thickest on a FFBM on the Sabre Grind of the spine....does all the subsequent cutting shaping and grinding for the folder blade mean you need to re-heat treat the knife? There has to be a fair bit of heat created in this process? Or can the heat treatment remain un-affected?
If you did re-heat treat ..... what did you take it to? For a folder blade the original Rc 58-59 could be taken up to Rc 62-64? It would be interesting to know if this was done as the edge holding properties of Infi at a higher Rc would be an interesting comparable to the performance level at the lower figure.
They certainly look beautiful enough to just "look at" so whichever way you go....nice one:thumbup:
