INFI Heat Treat Temp?

I don't think that Busse has released their heat treat specs yet. I thought he mentioned a temper temperature on the forum but could not turn it up on the search, just some information about cryogenics which are used in the process.

I was under the impression that the tempering process is a very important part of the proprietary INFI recipe and plays a huge part in the incredible properties of INFI. I would really be surprised if Jerry were to casually give away info relating to his tempering process so freely.

I guess if his patent is secured, though, it wouldn't matter so much.

If I am not mistaken and memory serves me; in a response to one of my posts, Mr. Busse indicated that his blades would require a temperature in excess of 900 degrees F. to begin to compromise the tempering.

The key to INFI is the quenching process. A length of one evening is required in a special mix called Black Label

Andy was telling me that a SH received 80 total hours of heat treating......
