oops, Terima kasih Skkeeter, Enjoy your time in Indunesia![]()
Sama sama, or "your welcome" in Indonesian.
All the locals were extremely impressed with my Busse. They had never held a knife with as much volume and quality in a shorter blade. There were oohh's and ahhh's from everyone who held it. All they use are crude locally made machete's that do get the job done, but lack in real quality. I think an AK or a Ruck would blow there minds if you let them use one for a day. Maybe next year when I return I could unveil the Busse Excalibur "AK" to them. I think a Ruck would be better suited as it can be wielded easier with one hand for the everyday chores of an Indo local. Unfortunately, I don't have a Ruck in my collection yet. Anyone know the length difference between a Ruck and a Waki? I'm thinking a Ruck would be better because of the non rusting characteristics of the Infi over the Swamprat's steel. My waki has rusted before by just putting it away damp in it's sheath.
Here's a link to the surf resort that's already open during surf season "our summer".

The main owner of this resort is also partners with my friends who will be opening Kandui Beach Villas in a year. They are slowly streamlining the travel arrangements so it will be easier to actually get to the Islands without the hassles I had to endure. The new resort will be family friendly with a large swimming pool, massage spa, air conditioned villas, and full staff with restaurant. Obviously the main attraction there is surfing, but they plan on catering to Diving, kayaking, snorkeling, spear fishing, and general beach frolicking.
