INFI is for real Folks!

Nakano, I would prefer G10 over Zytel, but I'm afraid the cost would be much higher. One of the reasons I always suggest Zytel is because of the Ground Zero tests. The SOG Seal handle held up to all they threw at it. The Sog handle is not well designed, but the material is sound.

No slam to Busse or Cold Steel, but if the blade is super tough, so should be the handle.

10Beers: I thought g-10 was extremely cheap...? I would think it would be cheaper to profile g-10 handles out than it would be to mold out zytel handles.

Then what if it is cheaper to injection mold handles? Wouldn't something along the lines of what EDI is using(GV-6H) be best?

Yes! Drop the burrito...

Cliff,
Thanks for the info on the M-INFI steel. The more I read here on BF the more my sadly lacking knife knowledge is improving. From what I've learned from Mikes 7" tests me thinks the Busse will work out to be a most valued tool. I'm really drooling now wating for the #9 test...

Ive got to learn how to sharpen all my knives next

Fellow posters; I am delighted to report that the Busse #9 is nowhere near as butt-ugly in person as it is in pictures. While it will never be a pleasing shape with complex curves blending into a beautiful whole knife, it is fairly appealing.

Perhaps this means Mike Turber doesn't have to wear a paper bag over his head in person?

Seriously, if you have been put off by the Busse pictures, I urge you to take a look at one in person. It is not bad looking at all.
