Ok, the rest of the story.....

I get a email from a busse fan about modding a knife with new OJ handles and changing the blade profile and handle shape. I replied with sure no problem and gave him a price quote. We emailed back and forth about the details of what he wanted. Since it was hard to describe the profiles with words I asked him to mark the blade with a sharpie and email it to me.

When I got the pics my draw almost dropped. Instead of a CGBATAC that I have been envisioning it was a BATACLE

Kudos to you folks that guessed BATACLE :thumbup::thumbup: I guess it was a little too easy.

So anyway, I emailed the crazyguy back and said the following just to be sure...

Me: "Let me get this straight! You want me to modify a perfectly fine and beautiful Limited Edition BA?"

Crazyguy: "Yep that is what I want"

Me: "How about I do it to a CGBATAC instead"

Crazyguy: "I want to do it to a BATACLE"

Me: "Why? Why? Why? Why?"

Crazyguy: "Because I want to! I have 3 of them so it is OK. Also, because I wanted a thick blade in that blade configuration."

Me: "You sure?"

Crazyguy: "Yep, that is what I want!"

So a few days later I receive the thing.... It took me some time to get over that mental barrier to get myself to grind on the thing. I was cringing and feeling bad the whole time.

Here is a pic of the design layout that I was given. I suggested that he change the handle to a more ergonomic design and do away with the double choil. Also changed the placement of the holes. Also, if you guys didn't already notice. I did not do my hand satin on this one. This one is more closer to a factory satin.

I have a regular full time job which I plan to keep I just do this because I enjoy it.

I have been making my own knives. They just aren't INFI.

So the question is: If Ducci gets a hold of a knife, does the Busse warranty still stand???

hey that doesn't look too bad Just sharpen that straight edge in the front and you will have a 1 of 300 Chisel

Give the guy a break. I am sure Ducci is not all that bad

oh, yah, do you even know how hard it is to throw a knife like that. I have not been able to stick it in the log even once since I got it back. Still can't figure out why?

Maybe you should send it back again to have the Ducci clip with serrations put on. That might help some in terms of sticking .
