And I didn't cheat! I looked at the contours in the handle and tried to figure out what would give it that shape.

so the blade DOES taper to the spine. I kept trying to force the spine to be flat, wich severely limited what it could be.:grumpy:

Yes, there is a slight taper only because I ground the flats down quite a bit.

Actually, part way through this project I was tempted to do away with my reverse edge idea and using the existing blade for a more traditional type blade with a 3 finger handle like this one. I was determined to do a reverse edge so that is what I got. The overall thickness of the knife would have ended up around .170 had I chose to use a regular blade design. Basically a 3finger GW with no choil and talon hole.
