INFI rings?

Titanium isn't 5x stronger than steel, it is comparable to mild steel in most cases, generally it is a bit softer than steel, and a lot softer than hardened steel.

That's not true, there are no indestructible rings, softer rings can be cut easily by probably any ER in the country, or even some EMT devision. Harder rings such as Tungsten Carbide can easily be broken off. Both cases with little or no damage to the finger underneath.

Whoops, had to look it up. Titanium is 1.5x steels tensile strength in the same weight. I heard the 5X reference on the Discovery Channel about battleship hulls. I am going to stop watching their shows. Really poorly researched.

I've not seen many titanium rings but it is true that gold rings will scratch and dent. I have seen on his website Jonathan Loos' stainless damascus rings with gold on the inside of the ring. They would be pretty hard, I imagine.

Y'all are a buncha cheapskates. Platinum is the way to go. I've been wearing my platinum wedding band 24/7 for almost ten years. It's still as good as new. It takes a lot to scratch it, after all that time and abuse, it only has light, very shallow surface scratches. You're not going to damage a platinum ring.

I'm not knocking platinum, but you won't get harder to dent or scratch than Tungsten. The fact that it looks great and costs less is just another bonus! :D

I can agree, that tungsten rings stay in good shape under fairly heavy abuse. I did find out I was "allergic" to the tungsten ring I had however, as it caused me to break out in the area of contact with my skin.

Titanium doesn't irritate my skin like the tungsten did.

Tungsten looks awesome. I'd like to see a tungsten bezel ring for the Rolex divers.

My wife just bought me a solid Tungsten wrist watch from Swiss Legend to match my wedding band. It looks great, but one thing she didn't realize is just how heavy tungsten is. I swear the thing weighs a pound!!

Few pics of my Tungsten ring and watch...

Been wearing my wedding band for 3 years and it's still like a mirror, not even a hint of a scratch.

...FYI, Tungsten watches are friggin HEAVY!
