• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I have recently posted knives for sale for the first time. Is there a document that explains the basics about posting on the Forums? I can use help with issues like how to edit a post once it is up, how to take a post down, etc.

Thanks -

To edit click the edit with the pencil next to it. Once two weeks past just re-list your items for sale. You can edit out your original thread if you want to. I would also suggest that you lock it. That can be done by clicking the thread tools on top of the first post.

Thanks for the response. It would still be helpful if there was a document that provided more info. about posting and other aspects of the Forum.

♦ At the bottom left of your post are icons. One of them says "edit". Click that to edit the contents of a post.
To edit the title of a thread that you started, go to opening post in the thread. At the top right is "thread tools". Mouse over it and you get a drop down menu. From the menu, click "edit thread". That gives you a popup window from which you can edit the thread title.

As a Gold member, you can close a thread that you started to further posts. To do that, go to opening post in the thread. At the top right is "thread tools". Mouse over it and you get a drop down menu. Clear the check box that says "open" next to it.

♦ You can edit out the contents of a post, but you cannot delete it entirely or "take it down".
