Info needed on this early REVEX

Electric angle grinder with a cut-off blade will take that off in a jiffy. Keep the hammer in water though, and make incremental cuts so you don't lose any of the existing temper.

But if it's really a throwing hawk you want why not seek out a inexpensive Cold Steel or other low budget jobbie that is specifically made for that purpose.

Weird thread. I would use a hack saw or water and angle grinder. I have a similar era hatchet from Japan same manufacturing mold like marks. It is usable but the corner of the blade chipped out.

I already have a Frontier CS tomahawk but my goal is not only for throwing but more for the look, and with the hammer on, I don't like that.
Thanks for the reply.

Final question here.
Do you think it will be possible to cut or remove the hammer side since there's a press or mold mark right there ?
and which tool is the best...torch ?..grinder ?
thanks.

Cutoff wheel on an angle grinder will make quick work of it. It will also make it unbalanced.

you might also use the grinder to smoothen that line, and keep it.
and use the grinder to custom make some more common product?

No more or less balanced than any other 'hawk'! You might want to try throwing it as is just to see how it fares, before committing to ruin it's otherwise dual usefulness.
