Info on a Kershaw boa?

This is INCREDIBLE news! Thank you very much for sharing it. I have a 1580MC I bought the minute they came out back in the day. Knowing now it's 1 of 394 made just made my resolve to keep it firm.

I wonder how of the 1580 MCs are owned by forum members? I bet 5% or so. I have 1 used but in good shape. I am kind of surprised at how many there are on ebay. There have been at least 6 or 8 on the bay in the last year.

I picked on a new in box 1580 made in 2005 earlier this year for $45. The 1st one I bought 5 or 6 years ago cost me $85, I thought that was cheap then.

Anyone know what year they changed the markings from 440v to s60v? How about the change from s60v to s30v?

Thomas W. did say that 2009 was the last year for the Boa.:( Lots of other nice stuff to take it's place though.:D
 
Bringing back an old thread... who else collects the old Boa? I have the S30 and S60V... both are blacked out plain edge.
 
I usually don't respond to threads dragged out of the archives, except to poke fun at the person that dredged it up or make others aware of the age... but I sold my Boa, maybe 5 yrs ago?

All good! It’s quite an intriguing knife... one that I’ve almost sold a few times over the years. I’m glad I held onto it.
