Hey all you hogs.

The new forsaken kensai sparked my interest back in Busse blades. I was a big fan 2006-2010.

My favorite busse was always the ak47. Owned a couple that were coated and had corrugated bevels throughout the blade.

I just picked up this beauty and was wondering if any of you guys could give me some information. Stamped custom shop, full convex grind with what appears to be a satin finish.

Would this be a one off? Custom order?
Maybe a blade show or ganza release? Anyone guess the year? Forgive my terrible pics.

Any information would be appreciated.

Great info man. I searched my butt off at work today but didn’t see that post. Thank you for sharing. I bought it to beat on but now I’m having second thoughts…

To add: my wife hates all of you. I think I’ve been bit by the bug. It went from one FORK to two. Then a tgs19. Then a bg ak, now this custom shop ak in a couple weeks. She was pretty upset when she saw the cc statement.

That is a nice one for sure.

There was a Time you could order those CS AK's (a buddy of mine ordered 6 of them)
I think they were 1200.00 ea. and that was many many years ago.

Black and tan G-10 looked very nice.

There were satin INFI AK's at some shows & offered in some Ganzaa's between 2009 & mebbe...mid to late 2012? Something like this... 🤔

I snagged this satin Ruck (& had liners added under the green canvas handles back in Wauseon) @ the 1st Easton, PA Trough Show in November '09. Beefy handle 🤙
There were satin AK's there as well.

That one looks identical to mine which I custom ordered from Amy and collected at Blade in 2011. Mine has orange and black G10 but is otherwise identical.......... :)

What does that bottom Ruck say for logo ?

Ahhhh ok. I remember Ban from well over a decade ago. Awesome guy.
Same, he did some awesome work, and the convexity he added was well done. I was going to ask Steven65 Steven65 about that. I notice the convex satin is lighter and more handle heavy balanced. I wonder how the ban ak feels in hand. Probably super fast being its stock removal. He probably took away a lot of steel on that one. I much prefer the balance point of the BG AK. Several inches from the top of the scales where is the satin mone is right where the scales stop. Lighter, faster, but probably would be out-cut by the BG in use.

Ban gave it a scary sharp edge. Not too much material removed. It is a very handy piece.
My other one there was done by Nathan Creech, also scary sharp.

One of the unfortunate problem with these is just how hard they are to photograph! 🤣

I love my Banned Ruck also, he did a great job on it 🙂👍 ...much better than my photo of it lol

I saw the title and was gonna jump in with pics of my AK. Then I realized these are Busse and kin swords! Not the firearm!
All o can say is WOW! I have no clue how in gonna get the kensi or any of these, but spring is coming and yard work here just sucks, but I bet a short sword would make it alot more fun! I also bet 1 would be a big help with my copperhead situation here! I cant always get a shot off on them because the dogs are out and they wanna mess with it. So I step on them and use a rock or my snake golf club to beat them. Super fun when you're in flip flops!
Yep! I need the Forsaken Kensi!

You guys have amazing collections!

I have an original Ruck that I stripped and reprofiled by hand to an improved geometry convex edge. Then later did some more work on it when I got a Harbor Freight 1x30 belt grinder. It certainly made for better cutting performance. Did the same with my SR Waki. Had an AK-47 but sold it because I didn't want to do all that work again. Those Busse sword like objects had a pretty steep edge geometry.

These were done years ago.
