Does anyone know about the availability of the new shot show announced dpx hest urban? The guy on the you tube video says bhq will have an g10 exclusive but nothing of when. Really digging it. Also what do y'all think about this kick starter business which seems to be the only way to get a full titanium version.

I think Kickstarter is a great way to get a knife started. If enough interest is out there it will get going. The knife looks very cool to me. We have a call in to DPX about carrying some once they come out. I will let you know what we find out!

I only know my experience with DPx fixed and folders has been vedy, vedy goood. :)

Sorry for the delay getting back to you but I talked to DPX yesterday and this is the first chance I have had to respond. The DPX Hest Urban in Triple Black and OD Green will be shipping to dealers in the next 3 weeks. The all ti version will be shipping in about 90 days. They said that the knife got a ton of support at shot show and everyone loved it! We should be one of the first handful of dealers to get these in! Very stoked they are made in the USA!

Still nothing on the urbans? Am I missing something?

Nope. Talked to Lisa the other day and they got delayed with a few things from manufacturing and it has put them behind 3-4 weeks. They are just making sure everything is tweaked perfect on them before they go out the door.

Gotcha, thanks man

From the kickstarter website:
"Hello backers! Again, thank you for your patience as we get closer to the finished product. During the final manufacturing processes, we ran into two challenges that have delayed the knives another few weeks: 1) We had to re-tumble the glass breakers to fix a burr that was preventing us from brazing the tungsten carbide tips into the glass breaker base properly and 2) we had to re-machine the back spacers to ensure the blade tips were not touching the inside of the spacer.

DPx Gear's COO will be visiting the manufacturer next week to oversee the final assembly and we'll have more photos and updates for you during the trip. As we have mentioned before, we are very picky about the feel, look and finish of this knife and we are taking some extra time to make sure everything is correct. As a token of our appreciation, we will be adding a Kickstarter exclusive patch to all pledges. We are confident our backers will be excited about the final product and can say it is worth the wait. "
