Hello all,

I'm looking for a reasonably priced woods knife. Anyone have any info/experience/opinions with J. Adams knives? I'm looking at a couple on a well known auction site. On is the Green River model with 5" carbon steel blade, the other is the Seamans knife with 4" carbon steel, clip point blade.

They can both be seen here:

I saw from a review of the Green River on another site that the blade thickness is 2mm which seems a bit thin for bushcraft.

Thanks,
Jester

The should both work for most bushcraft duties. However, within that price range, Mora Bushcraft blades (2.5 mm) might offer some advantages. If you anticipate more abuse on the knife, Condor has several (3 mm) knives that might be more appropriate. A lot more refinement can be had for a few dollars more in knives from other manufacturers.
